Experienced all-rounder Heather Graham will captain the Hobart Hurricanes in tomorrow's WBBL clash against Brisbane Heat, with regular skipper Nicola Carey remaining in Hobart following the birth of her first child with partner Elyse Villani.
Graham, who led the side during this year's Spring Challenge, has captained the Hurricanes on one previous occasion in the WBBL, standing in for an unwell Villani against Perth Scorchers at UTAS Stadium in October 2023.
The 30-year-old, who celebrated her 150th WBBL appearance in the season opener, will be looking to guide the defending champions to their first victory of WBBL|12 following three frustrating defeats to begin their title defence.
With Carey unavailable, young seamer Ira Aery and all-rounder Ella Hayward have been included in a 14-player squad for the clash at Allan Border Field.
The match will also mark a significant milestone for experienced all-rounder Lauren Smith, who is set to make her 150th WBBL appearance.
