After their huge Boxing Day win against the Perth Scorchers out in the West, the Hobart Hurricanes return home to Tasmania sitting second on the BBL|15 table, only trailing the Melbourne Stars by net run rate.
Hosting the Melbourne Renegades back at home at Ninja Stadium, the squad will be looking to continue their great form after winning two of their three away matches over the past 10 days.
Their match against the Scorchers saw the Hurricanes bowlers put in a terrific performance, with Rishad Hossain (3-33) and Riley Meredith (2-19) taking multiple wickets as they restricted Perth to 8-150.
In a measured chase, which never really got away from the 'Cane Train, Tim David (42 off 28) top-scored before retiring hurt and was well supported by Nikhil Chaudhary (32 off 30), before Mac Wright (22* off 13) guided his team home in his first game of the summer.
Tomorrow's match sees Australian Test representative Beau Webster released back to his home club, and he will play his first game for the Hurricanes since BBL|06 after signing in purple during the off-season.
Matthew Wade also returns to the squad after missing the last game in Perth, while Hugo Burdon comes into the squad after signing as a Local Replacement Player for Iain Carlisle.
Unfortunately for Hurricanes fans, Tim David is likely to miss an extended part of the tournament with a hamstring injury, with the full extent of the injury to be confirmed in the coming days. A statement will be provided to media once more is known.
Also coming out of the Hurricanes squad for this match are Jackson Bird and Will Prestwidge.
Jake Weatherald remains unavailable due to Ashes commitments but is expected to return after the fifth Test.
