Two Super Saturday games headline Hurricanes WBBL|11 Schedule

Following their return to the WBBL Finals last season, the Hobart Hurricanes can confirm their WBBL|11 schedule as they look to win their elusive first piece of WBBL silverware.

Opening their account as part of a triple-header on Channel 7, the Hurricanes play the Sydney Thunder at Allan Border Field on Sunday 9 November.

Their away trip continues the following week, taking on the Sydney Sixers at North Sydney Oval before a home match (away from home) against the Brisbane Heat at Drummoyne Oval on Saturday 15 November, rounding out their first week in WBBL|11.

Tuesday 18 November marks the Hurricanes’ first home appearance at Ninja Stadium, as they host the Adelaide Strikers and showcase their newly acquired English draftees Nat Sciver-Brunt, Danni Wyatt-Hodge, and Linsey Smith in front of a Tasmanian crowd.

A quick trip to North Sydney Oval to take on the Melbourne Renegades ensues, before returning for the first of two ‘Super Saturday’ matches at Ninja Stadium on Saturday 22 November at 10.00 am.

With their schedule heavily front-ended, the Hurricanes have a four-day break before playing the Melbourne Stars in Melbourne, followed by their second Saturday match, this time the Scorchers at 7.10 pm on 29 November.

Only two days later, they’ll wrap up their home games with a Monday night clash against the Stars at 7:10 pm, then pack up and head to Adelaide for one last match against the Strikers on Friday.

The WBBL Finals begin on Tuesday 9 December, and the WBBL Final takes place on Saturday 13 December in prime time, just days before the start of BBL|15.

Hobart Hurricanes Head Coach, Jude Coleman, is looking forward to what is to come for the ‘Canes in WBBL|11.

"This year's WBBL|11 schedule has me excited for what's to come for the Hurricanes this summer.

"A busy schedule early on, with six matches in 13 days will be a good test for us and I know we will be wanting to get off to a good start.

"Two 'Super Saturday' home games at Ninja, give Tasmanians a great opportunity to get to Ninja Stadium, and throw their support around the 'Cane Train!" stated Coleman.
