The Hobart Hurricanes have welcomed Youi as a new club partner, with the Australian insurer joining the Hurricanes family ahead of another exciting Big Bash summer.
The agreement is part of a broader agreement announced by Cricket Australia today, which sees Youi become an Official Partner of the Big Bash Leagues, alongside partnerships with five clubs.
Youi branding will feature on the Hurricanes' playing kit throughout BBL|16, with the partnership also bringing opportunities to celebrate and engage with fans and the wider cricket community.
Cricket Tasmania chief executive Dominic Baker said the Hurricanes were delighted to welcome Youi on board.
“We're thrilled to welcome Youi to the Hurricanes family and look forward to building a strong partnership that connects with our fans and the broader Tasmanian cricket community,” Baker said.
“Our supporters are the heartbeat of the Hurricanes, and it's fantastic to partner with an organisation that shares our belief in recognising the people who make cricket such a special part of the Australian summer.
“From the volunteers and families involved in grassroots cricket to the thousands of fans who turn out to support the Hurricanes, this partnership provides another opportunity to celebrate the people who make our game great.”
Youi Chief Marketing Officer Angela Greenwood said the partnership reflected Youi’s commitment to recognising the people and communities behind Australian sport.
“We’re incredibly proud to partner with Cricket Australia and become an Official Partner of WBBL and BBL, while supporting five clubs from the elite-level through to grassroots across the country.
“At Youi, we believe sport is made by fans. Their passion, loyalty and energy create the moments and atmosphere that make sport memorable, and cricket is no exception.
“The Big Bash format brings families, friends and communities together throughout the Australian summer. This partnership will celebrate and engage fans, communities, and volunteers who are the lifeblood of community cricket across the country.
“We’re excited to partner with the Big Bash Leagues and our clubs to shine a spotlight on the people in our communities who make the game what it is today.”
The Hurricanes join the Brisbane Heat, Melbourne Renegades, Melbourne Stars and Sydney Thunder as Youi's five club partners.
The broader partnership officially commences with the opening of WBBL|12 on Thursday, October 29.
