The Hobart Hurricanes have locked in their BBL16 schedule featuring four home matches at Ninja Stadium and their return to Launceston for the first time since 2023 - 24.
The Hurricanes start their BBL16 campaign with a home match against the Brisbane Heat on the 17th December before travelling west to play BBL15 Champions the Perth Scorchers at Optus Stadium on the 20th.
The Melbourne Renegades then host the Hobart Hurricanes on the 24 December under lights at Junction Oval before returning home to take on the Melbourne Stars on the 29 December.
The Hobart Hurricanes will then bring in the New Year at the Gabba taking on the Brisbane Heat before travelling back to Ninja Stadium on the 5th to play the Sydney Thunder.
Big Bash League action then returns to Launceston for the first time since 2023 - 24 on the 9th January with the Hobart Hurricanes playing the Adelaide Strikers at UTAS Stadium. The Hurricanes then travel to Adelaide to play the Strikers at Adelaide Oval on the 12th January.
With two games remaining in the season the Hurricanes play the Melbourne Stars at the MCG on the 14th January before finishing the season at home on the 17th January against the Sydney Sixers.
Cricket Tasmania Chief Executive Officer Dominic Baker is pleased with the Hurricanes schedule urging fans to become a member and support the Hobart Hurricanes this season.
"Fans will once again be able to experience everything the Big Bash League has to offer with the Hurricanes BBL16 schedule. The Hurricanes are an important part of the Tasmanian summer and we look to replicate the Hurricanes experience across Tasmania with four home matches at Ninja Stadium and our return to Launceston for BBL16!"
