The Hobart Hurricanes return to WBBL action tomorrow afternoon in Sydney after a terrific start to WBBL|11, winning both of their games so far!
After another successful chase, this time claiming only their third win against the Sydney Sixers in sixteen attempts, the Hurricanes are running hot and head into the match in great form.
Last night against the Sixers, Hayley Silver-Holmes turned the match in the Hurricanes’ favour with figures of 3-18 from her three overs, taking the key wickets of Alyssa Healy, Ash Gardner, and Amelia Kerr, restricting the Sydney team to 9-152.
Lizelle Lee (55 off 33) and Danni Wyatt-Hodge (45 off 26) helped the Hurricanes get off to a flyer before Nic Carey guided the 'Cane Train home with 19 balls to spare.
The Heat come into this match having lost their last two games, but they are always competitive and will be looking to return to the winners’ list after a poor start.
The Hurricanes have named an unchanged squad from their match against the Sixers, with the same thirteen players included for tomorrow’s game.
Kathryn Bryce also continues to travel with the squad as cover for our overseas players.
Amy Smith remains unavailable for selection following a hamstring injury sustained during the WNCL season but is tracking well for a return towards the backend of WBBL|11.
Tomorrow’s match starts at 3:30 pm AEDT at Drummoyne Oval in Sydney.
