Sydney Sixers fast-bowling allrounder Maitlan Brown and Adelaide Strikers batter Maddie Penna have been named joint winners of the 2025-26 T20 Spring Challenge Player of the Tournament.
The top performers were closely followed by Nicola Carey (Hobart Hurricanes) with six votes and Hayley Silver-Holmes (Hobart Hurricanes) with five.
Nicola Carey was the third-highest run scorer for the series, accumulating 157 runs. She also hit the most fours in the series, with a total of 27.
Hayley Silver-Holmes finished third in most wickets taken, with seven. Four of these wickets came in the Hurricanes’ third game of the series against the Stars, where she was named Player of the Match.
Callie Wilson and Nicola Carey have both been named in the ACA Spring Challenge All-Star Team for their performances throughout the series, with Carey also selected as captain of the peer-voted side.
“Being recognised by your peers is always special, and as a player, it’s something that means a lot,” said Nicola Carey.
The final of the T20 Spring Challenge will be played today, with defending champions the Hobart Hurricanes set to face the Brisbane Heat in a repeat of last year’s decider.
The Hurricanes will be aiming to go back-to-back, while the Heat will be looking to turn the tables today at Cricket Central in Sydney with the first ball scheduled at 2:00 pm AEDT.
The Final will be live streamed on Kayo Sports, cricket.com.au, and the CA Live app, ensuring fans can follow every moment of the action.
