The Scorchers are coming off a comprehensive victory against the Melbourne Renegades, and will provide stiff opposition for a Hurricanes outfit hoping to bounce back after a tough loss to the Sydney Sixers.
The team in purple will have to stop talisman Beth Mooney if they are to give themselves a realistic chance, who is in red hot form, scoring an unbeaten 101 in her last outing. Opening partner Sophie Devine has been exceptional herself, making an early wicket crucial for the Hurricanes in the fixture.
Conversely, the Hurricanes will need to find some runs out of their top order to ease pressure on the middle order and the bowlers. Too often, the Hurricanes batters have fallen on totals under 10 early in the game, making run chases difficult to engineer.
The Hurricanes have named an unchanged 14-player squad for their matches at the WACA this weekend:
Mignon du Preez
Rachel Priest (c)
If selected in the final XI, Maddi Brooks and Angelina Genford will make their Hurricanes debuts.
Across both days' play, the first ball will be bowled at 4.50pm AEDT, with the match to be broadcast on Fox Cricket and ABC Sport. The game will also be available to be viewed via livestream on Kayo Sports and cricket.com.au.
