The Scorchers picked up a comprehensive nine-wicket win over the Hurricanes when the two teams met in Perth 10 days ago. The Scorchers will now look to defeat the ‘Canes twice in a single campaign for the first time since 2013/14, and if they achieve it, it will be for just the second time ever.
The Hurricanes however have won two of their last three KFC BBL games in Victoria, and will be looking to log back-to-back wins in the state for the first time since December 2014.
D’Arcy Short has the chance to become only the seventh man – and first Hurricane - to record 2,000 BBL runs, needing just 35 to get there, whilst - if selected - Mac Wright will be looking to emulate the form he showed when he last took to the field at Marvel Stadium; he posted 70 at the venue against the Renegades in January last year, his highest ever T20 score.
The 17-player squad to face the Scorchers is:
The first ball will be bowled at 4.05pm AEST, with the game to be broadcast on Foxtel and SEN. It will be also be available to livestream via Kayo Sports.
