Leading bank MyState has again invested in the real #TasmaniasTeam by renewing their partnership with the Hobart Hurricanes for the upcoming KFC Big Bash League, which starts on Thursday night 21 December at Blundstone Arena against the Melbourne Renegades.
Co-major sponsor MyState’s logo will dominate front and centre plus across the back on the mens team’s away shirts and on the top chest of the mens team’s home shirts throughout BBL07.
Hobart Hurricanes General Manager Phil Rigby said the partnership had been of great value over the last three years and each organisation was looking forward to lighting up another Tassie summer with the Hurricanes’ #PurpleArmy.
“The Hurricanes are a proud local club and a true Tasmanian team that supports the community that supports us - with school and club visits, donations and community health and wellbeing programs.
“MyState aligns with those same values of being a proud Tasmanian institution offering great community support at a friendly local level.”
The extension of this valuable partnership with MyState arrives as yet another shot in the arm for the Hurricanes after Gary Kirsten joined as Head Coach of the men’s team, and he was on-hand for the MyState sponsorship announcement alongside the latest player signing – well-known middle order batter Nathan Reardon.
His recruitment follows that of promising England internationals Tymal Mills and Jofra Archer as well as Australian star Matthew Wade to the mens BBL squad, plus internationals Veda Krishnamurthy and Lauren Winfield to the women’s WBBL squad.
Phil Rigby said everything was quickly falling into place for Game One in just under a fortnight’s time at Blundstone Arena both on and off the field.
“We really value our partners and we are very pleased that MyState will be staying on our home and away shirts in 2017-18”, he said.
“It’s a mutually beneficial partnership and one that has strengthened both of our brands as MyState has always invested in leveraging their sponsorship with us.
“We’ve worked together on game days, club days, as well as ongoing programs that put the game’s fans and bank’s customers at the centre. It is always a pleasure to work with a brand that truly loves the sport and local community.
“Tickets sales are now really starting to pick up with the season getting so close, memberships are selling strongly and now all the players and coaches are here and putting in the hard yards.”
The Hurricane’s womens team officially kickstarts their own Rebel WBBL campaign on Saturday and Sunday against the Adelaide Strikers at Gliderol Stadium in Glenelg, Adelaide.
