Hundreds of members and fans braved rainy conditions this afternoon to attend the Hobart Hurricanes Members Clinic at Blundstone Arena.
Despite the inclement weather, hundreds of Caners turned up to lend their support to the BBL and WBBL Hurricanes, both of whom remain in finals contention.
Activities included indoor cricket, meeting players, photo opportunities and a wide variety of activities ahead of this afternoon’s WBBL fixture against the Melbourne Stars and tomorrow night’s must-win double-header fixtures against the Melbourne Stars (WBBL) and the Perth Scorchers (BBL).
The younger Hurricanes members also had the chance to ask questions to their favourite players, with long-time Hurricanes George Bailey and Cameron Boyce receiving plenty of attention at the family event.
Hobart Hurricanes Fan, Community and Event Manager Chris Rawson was thrilled with the turnout and said it was a huge success in spite of the weather.
“It was a fantastic day for our members.
“They got to spend time with our players and get autographs and get involved with a heap of activities.
“We still had lots of fun despite the inclement weather and I think all the kids had a great time.”
The WBBL Hobart Hurricanes play the Melbourne Stars at Blundstone Arena on tonight at 5:30pm (Free Entry) and Saturday 21 January at 11:45am whilst the BBL Hobart Hurricanes take on the Perth Scorchers on Saturday 21 January at 4:20pm as part of our final home match double-header for WBBL02 / BBL06. Patrons will need a ticket to the BBL match to watch the WBBL match on Saturday.
