The Hobart Hurricanes will look to record their first Weber WBBL|07 win on Tuesday, after losing both of their weekend fixtures in close contests against the Melbourne Renegades and Sydney Sixers respectively. In their last game at Blundstone Arena before travelling north, the Hurricanes will want to make a statement against a Melbourne Stars team that lost on the tournament's opening night.
Despite the two losses, the Hurricanes have celebrated some early highlights, including a nifty 46 from Indian youngster, Richa Ghosh, Molly Strano’s first wicket in purple, Belinda Vakarewa’s 50th WBBL wicket, and Mignon Du’Preez scoring her 1500th WBBL run.
Key for the Hurricanes will be a little more early firepower with the bat – falling victim to wickets on low totals in both games so far – to give the impressive bowling attack an easier total to defend against a powerful stars lineup.
The Hurricanes have named an unchanged 14-player squad for Tuesday’s game:
Mignon du Preez

Launceston teenager, Ava Curtis, remains in the squad as a local replacement player for Maisy Gibson for tomorrow's match. If selected in the final XI, Curtis along with Angelina Genford would make their Hurricanes debut.
With lockdown lifted in southern Tasmania, in fantastic news tomorrow's match - along with all of the week's remaining matches at Blundstone Arena - are open to the public. Patrons are required to wear a mask in attendance, as per Tasmanian Government regulations.
