Meet our new Ground 'Four'ce

06 December 2018

The Hobart Hurricanes are excited to announce their MCs and Ground Announcer for the BBL|08 and WBBL|04 season at Blundstone Arena and UTAS Stadium.

Hit 100.9's hilarious Breakfast Team, Jimmy & Nath, will form half of the Hurricanes new Ground 'Four'ce.

Former Home & Away actress, Bonnie Sveen, will be the third on-ground member with Anthony 'Tubes' Taylor set to provide an iconic voice from the stands throughout the Hurricanes gameday experience.

"Hip hip hooray(cane)," said Nath.

"Jimmy and I are stoked to be repping the purple for the Hurricanes this year!"

"Ok, that sounds like we're playing but we are honoured to be MCing the matches."

"We even offered to steal Jeff the purple Wiggles' skivvy to make sure we looked the part."

Bonnie can't wait for next weekend.

"I hope the world's ready for the new Hurricanes season because I sure am," she said.

"We have so may local & international players on both teams who I know will be hitting so many sixes (Erin Fazackerley, I'm looking at you!)."

Tubes has done his preparation.

"I've been running quick singles in the backyard for three days straight," he said.

"My mum has been providing Tassal Salmon for sustenance, I expect to be fit for gameday Saturday."

The quartet will unite for the first time at The WBBL Big Weekend at Blundstone Arena on December 15 & 16 with the headline act being Hurricanes facing the star-filled Sydney Sixers under lights on Saturday.

Entry to the entire weekend is free with the Hurricanes 2018 Fan Day locked in for the Saturday evening with BBL players available to meet and greet before taking up their seat in the stands when the match gets underway.
