Get To Know... Dan Christian

12 January 2018

Dan Christian has been vital with both bat and ball so far this campaign.

He is a Foo Fighters fan who loves to play golf, and he isn't too bad with a cricket bat or ball in hand either. Here's a chance to get to know Hurricanes star Dan Christian.
Christian, with more than 3000 runs and 164 twenty-20 wickets under his belt, has played an astonishing 221 T20 matches in competitions right around the world, on top of representing Australia at both ODI and T20I level, and playing a further 199 first class and List A matches.

With so much experience in competitions across the world, Christian has become a crucial member of this Hurricanes outfit after moving from the Brisbane Heat, further enhancing his reputation as one of the most dangerous all-round packages in world T20 cricket, with his batting and bowling know-how a crucial component to this Hurricanes outfit.

Due to D'Arcy Short, Alex Doolan and co's impressive starts to innings, Christian has only had limited opportunity with bat in hand this campaign, but has hit 68 runs at a strike rate of over 141.

Christian has been particularly crucial with ball in hand so far this campaign, bowling 23 dot balls and taking three wickets, but most importantly, bowling well at crucial times of matches, including the thrilling final over in the Hurricanes' narrow victory over the Heat on Wednesday night.
