MyState Bank Community Blitz Tour Dates:

Phase One: Male Program Players Tour
Monday 13 – Wednesday 15 August: All male players will not be involved across all three days depending on their training commitments.

Phase Two: Female Program Players Tour
Tuesday 25 – Thursday 27 September: All female players will not be involved across all three days depending on their training commitments.

MyState Bank Community Blitz Purpose:

Male and female players from the Tasmanian Tigers and Hobart Hurricanes will be travelling across the State to engage with as many school and community groups as possible, increase youth and public participation in cricket, and raise more awareness of #TasmaniasTeams.

In phase one we are also celebrating the public opening of our brand new Hurricanes Community Office - North West in Devonport. This is an opportunity for locals and the media to meet and talk with players Jake Doran, Clive Rose, Ben McDermott and Riley Meredith.

MyState Bank Community Blitz School Visits:

- Mostly lower primary school students enjoying 30-40 minute player visits.

- Features 10-minute fundamental coaching session involving throwing and catching skills.

- Includes question and answer session for children with the players.

- Finishes with time for children to get their player autographs.

MyState Bank Community Blitz Key Stats:

- 25 male players are involved in phase one of the MyState Bank Community Blitz from Monday 13 – Wednesday 15 August.

- These male players are hoping to interact with more than 2,500 children across the State.

- Together the male players will visit over 40 Tasmanian schools across their three-day blitz.

- Phase two of the MyState Bank Community Blitz will run from Tuesday 25 – Thursday 27 September with the female players touring the State.

- These tours will be covered on the Tasmanian Tigers and Hobart Hurricanes media channels using the hashtags #TasmaniasTeams and #MyStateBlitz.

- Phase one’s Male Program blitz will include a Cricket Tasmania social media ‘player takeover’ from new Tasmanian Tiger recruit Gurinder Sandhu so please follow @crickettas on Twitter and Instagram.
