Captain's Challenge underway across Tasmania

05 September 2017

Captain’s Challenge Month has arrived!

All over Tasmania, students from Kindergarten to Grade 2 are taking on Captain Hurricane’s challenge which aims to develop their fundamental motor skills giving them the tools to live a healthy and active lifestyle.

During September, kids will take 10 minutes out of their school day to practice their throwing, bouncing and catching skills to get ready for what will be a massive summer of cricket.  The program is designed to be run by class room teachers, during daily PE time and can be run anywhere from the classroom to the oval.

The Captain’s Challenge is the perfect lead in to the MILO in2CRICKET program, where kids get their first taste of cricket in a fun, supportive and safe environment.
