As the second-highest wicket-taker and fourth highest run scorer for the Hurricanes this season, Christian enjoyed a stellar season in purple.
Statistically BBL|07 was Christian’s best tournament yet, scoring more runs and taking more wickets than ever before.
Given his unique roles as a pinch-hitting run scorer and clutch death bowler, Christian performed with remarkable consistency as he further enhanced his reputation as one of the world’s most valuable Twenty-20 all-rounders.
This role was best evidenced by his player of the match performance against the Heat at Blundstone Arena, where he chipped in with 23 off 9 after taking 1-12 with the ball to secure the Hurricanes an emphatic victory.
It’s difficult to nail down just the one highlight from Christian’s tournament, with his breathtaking half-century against the Melbourne Stars at the MCG and his all-round effort of 37 runs and 4-17 in the semi-final against the Scorchers two standouts from another consistent summer.
