The Indigenous T20 Cup was established in 2016 and is a two-day tournament between the Hurricanes Indigenous XI and the Sydney Thunder Indigenous XI.
The competition which is proudly supported by Tassal Salmon gives Tasmanians who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait islander the opportunity to put themselves forward for selection to represent their people and the Hurricanes Indigenous XI.
The tournament was first played in Orange, New South Wales (NSW) and each year rotates between NSW and Tasmania. Tasmania hosted the competition in Latrobe in 2018. The tournament aims to promote the importance of culture, connecting players to their people and their community.
