The ‘Iceman’ from England returns for the third year in a row for the HUrricanes and will be looking to show the form he did in his first year with the boys in purple.  Shah stole the limelight regularly in BBL|01 as he amassed 282 runs over the course of  to be the fourth highest run scorer in the competition.  He had a quieter year last season making 138 runs but showed glimpses of the match-winning form we came to rely on in the first year.

After stints in the IPL and playing for Essex in the Friends Life t20 competition where he made some solid scores, Shah will look to come back down under and lead the way with the bat and light up Blundstone Arena again.

Owais is a quality player, someone who has been around a long time and knows the T20 game and his own game inside and out. I'm looking for him and Travis to play significant roles with the bat in BBL|03. Damien Wright
