Paceman Laughlin had a superb season last year for the Hurricanes, becoming one of the competition's best bowlers. He took 14 wickets with best figures of 4-31 against the Sydney Sixers on Boxing Day and led the way with the ball for Hurricanes in the second season.
Laughlin has had a busy off-season which saw him play in the Indian Premier League with the Chennai Super Kings who made the final of the tournament. He has recently been playing in the Ryobi Cup for Tasmania and showed he can do it with the bat also, getting the Tigers over the line down the order.
Laughlin's cricketing talent comes from his father Trevor, who played test cricket for Australia in 1978. The 30 year old, who enjoys listening to the Temper Trap is a keen user of Instagram with over 24,000 followers! @benlaughlin55
He had a great year last year and is a very skillful bowler who has a lot of tricks. I will be again looking for him to stamp his authority on the Big Bash as he did last year.
