Paceman Laughlin had a consistent season for the Hurricanes last summer and became known for his solid death bowling spells, restricting runs in crucial moments of matches. His best bowling figures were against the Sydney Sixers in the semi-final where he snagged 2-25. However it was his efforts in the field where he made a name for himself, taking an absolute screamer in front of the hill at Hurricane House to take out the award for the best catch of the BBL|01.
Laughlin's cricketing talent comes from his father Trevor, who played test cricket for Australia in 1978. The 28 year old, who enjoys listening to the Temper Trap would also like to swap lives with Kelly Slater for a day.
