The Hurricanes stormed into the semi finals after a last over thriller against the Melbourne Stars at Blundstone Arena on Saturday with the 3594 fans that poured through the gates witness to an exceptional victory.
The win put the 'Canes back in the Top 4, finishing in 4th spot whilst the Sixers (1st), Scorchers (2nd) and Heat (3rd) are the other WBBL02 finalists.
The match will be played at the GABBA in Brisbane on Wednesday afternoon (1.40pm local, 2.40pm AEDST) prior to the BBL Semi Final between the Brisbane Heat and Sydney Sixers.
In the two seasons of the WBBL the Hurricanes are yet to record a victory against the Sixers, with the team defeated on D/L in the semi final last year and will be out to break a 5 game losing streak to the team in magenta.
On the back of some good performances and some clutch victories this season, there is no doubt the side has the capability of defeating the Sixers and then going all the way in the second year of the WBBL.
Corinne Hall, who hit the winning runs against the Stars on the week-end said the team were in good spirits ahead of the match and said they have a belief they can turn the tables on their previous results against the Sixers to make it into the WBBL Final.
"We have had some good games against them and there were two we probably should have won," Hall said.
"Our fielding let us down in those matches and that's something we have improved on especially during the latter stages of the tournament."
Whilst the Sixers will be without Ellyse Perry who was ruled out of the WBBL semi due to a hamstring injury, Hall said the Sixers have an abundance of talented and experienced players to be wary of.
"They have a jam packed side of very talented players so we won't be taking them lightly at all."
The match will be LIVE on ONE HD.
